Hi, i've just got hold of an ET4 125 and the oil light is illuminated when the key is switched to "on". I checked the dipstick, and the oil was low, so I topped it up, but the light still comes on... Also checked the dipstick at the rear of the engine, thinking maybe the light applies to both, but that is fine too. I'm now leaning towards a faulty oil light/connection, but thought it was worth posting up here to see if any of you guys have a suggestion at all?

Cheers!

It could be a faulty sensor, or perhaps more likely the wire from it is shorted to frame somewhere.

It is an oil pressure light. The light stays on until the motor has started.

Are you saying the light stays on while running?

It's gone now! The oil was very low before i topped it up, didn't even make the min mark, maybe just needed a bit of time to kick in.
Anyway, cheers for the help, fun summer riding to come

Hmm... oil doesn't just 'disappear' though lots of short journeys can cause some to get burned. So watch the level...
