I don't know why i'm picking this photo ...but it was in my flickr and easy to post.
That's my mom and dad on the left, my sister and brother in law in the middle, and me on the right. I think i'm standing on a high point in the lawn or something because i'm only an inch or so taller than my dad. |

jimmyb865 wrote: great pics great idea bigfoot i'm looking for a decent pic of my whole family in one shot Anyhoo, here's one of my wife and me at Christmas dinner at a friend's: One of my wife with our newborn second daughter: My wife and two kids about a year later: One of me and my youngest (at least it's scooter related as that's the jacket I wear on ALL my rides -- from hottest to coolest days, and even under a rain jacket): Kids this summer: And finally, shots with the scoot: (I'm teaching her to curse in Italian!) Apologies for the (incredibly?) self-indulgent series of pics, but getting married and having kids are the two best things I've done in my life -- bar none! Everything else (career, grad school, Vespa ownership) comes a very distant second! And, for the curious, moving pictures with sound! A quick video when I first had the scooter last summer. There have been many changes and an engine rebuild since then! Here's a vid of it more recently, with rounds lights mounted on the front rack and an air horn installed in the glove box. Yes, I KNOW the switch for the lights is backwards, and also that I don't have the right tail light for a Super -- I just happen to like the acorn style more (and feels its safer as this way the brake light is very distinct from the running light), and also that I don't have a centre mat, and that the speedo is totally busted, and that there's electrical tape holding a mirror together. As it happens, I happen to enjoy the hell out of riding it! I've had most if it apart and replaced too many items to mention (and without reservation -- I've learned a lot over the past year about small engines and scooter repair). The only things I haven't done to it are i) dropping the front fork and examining the bearings in the headseat (a project for this winter, perhaps); ii) stripping the frame and repainting (not sure if it will ever be worth it to do that, but maybe sometime); iii) a new wiring harness (not at all a priority, but if I've got the headset off anyway I might as well...). ⚠️ Last edited by phaetn on UTC; edited 1 time

This pic sums me up best, indulging in 2 out of 3 of my biggest current passions. I couldn't fit a scoot into the stall.

The one of the wife and I is a bit older, probably a year or so. We were out for our first anniversary on a trip to Stone Mountain, GA. I love showing off my beautiful wife.
The other is me, sitting exactly where I sitting and looking pretty much exactly the same and when I'm talking to all of y'all. I work from home doing tech support, hence the headset. Since real names were asked for, mine is Don. Nice to meet'cha. EDIT: They somehow flipped from the preview to the posting. You can figure it out. |
