This is the scenario: (thanks in advance for your thoughts - I searched for an answer on the site and didnt come up w/ one.)

When I turn on engine the Yellow light flashes and the Tilt lock works. Unlocks. Locks. All is good.

But when I ride and come to a complete stop, the yellow light does not flash and so the tilt lock doesnt work.

BUT if I turn off the engine and turn it back on - the yellow goes back to flashing and tilt lock works.

The scoot is failing to recognize that it has come to a stop after being ridden. Havent the foggiest why.

Oh - and this started happening immediately after washing the bike. But that was 5 days ago. And Im careful about where I splash water... Riding in the rain causes the wheel area to get wetter than when I wash it....

place to look
On page 66-67 of the MP3-250 service manual they show the level indicator and enable signal diagram. My guess is a wheel tone sensor but there are sooooooo many sensors. Good Luck

View a manual at this site

Also look at the wiring diagram manual better picture with wire colors

There are three sensors for the tilt lock, speed, fluid lever and hydraulic pressure.

I appreciate the above info, however, Im still wondering if there is anything that I, your eager rider but non-mechanic type can do, absent taking it into the shop.

Look carefully at the wires coming out of both speed sensors on the centre of the front wheels. Betting is that one of these is broken.

And look real careful because it could just be a stretched wire that still has good insulation, but broken wires inside.
