If there is anyone interested in Racing their scooter in the Oregon/Seattle area, or coming to the Oregon/Seattle area to race, please contact me (Brad) at my personal email address bradjcoates@yahoo.com. All types and states of tune welcome. We (the Pacfic North West Scooter Racing Association) currently have 6 regular racers on super moidifified 50cc autos, stock P200's, tuned P200's and tuned small frames. For most of members this was this first year racing and everyone is having a blast. There is always a professional photographer hanging out taking really cool pics of the bikes in action (for free). The atmosphere is very freindly and family oritentated. For those new to racing, there is always lots iof help and advice available.

Thanks for posting, Brad. You could add some info about the location of the races. Always in the same place?
And when there's a particular event to announce, the "Rallies and Events" forum would be the place to post in the future. Not to mention posting some of those professional photos in the Gallery-- 8) Cheers, --Deborah |

Thanks all, I will get our media guy to post.
Round 4 is coming up at Pat's Acres Race Complex in Canby, OR on August 14,15. We are trying to find someone who is willing to do a write up for Scoot Magazine, any takers? Email me at bradjcoates@yahoo.com Sat is practice and Sunday is race day. Racing starts a 10:30AM. There is camping at the complex for a measly 10.00 a night. Racing will cost you all of $55.00 for as many classes as you chose to run. Spectators are not only encouraged, but worshiped. Thanks Brad |

Very exciting - I had no idea that there was enough interest in this. Does anyone provide any training/coaching on racing techniques? Finally, for a newcomer, what is the best way to start?

The best way to learn is by coming to the track on a practice day. There are always lots of people the to give you pointers and advice.
I strongly recommend visiting our website, we have a forum where again there are lots of racers that can help you with racing and preparing your bike. Thanks Brad |

Uhhm, well yes, no top cases, unnecessary chrome, mirrors etc. It would take me about 30 minutes and a roll of duct tape to get you and your 300 on the track though, and the idea is that we do have a class that anyone can race their daily runner. If not, just come to the track and cheer scooter racers on.
Go Brad 66, Go Brad 66 !!!!! ps. Did you see the latest Scoot Magazine eh? |

looks like a lot of fun. Do you have to be a member of any organization to race? Insurance etc...?
