That's awesome!!

The only gripe I have about the show in general is how they keep changing narrators. Pick someone and stick with them, sheesh.

But it's always an interesting show. You'd never have a clue how much work goes into making most of the stuff they cover, even if most of it is done by machines these days.

Looks like the Discovery Channel may not be broadcasting the Vespa episode at this time-

Just found out a little bit more- Could be a segment of Episode 13, which is the Discovery Channel at 7:30 Pacific time.

Most of the topics they showed on How It's Made are about 10 minutes long. What I wish(and most people on here too) is NatGeo did the same for their "Ultimate Factories" series in which a whole hour is devoted to 1 topic. If you ever get the chance to watch Ultimate Factories, check out their episodes on Ferrari, BMW, Harley Davidson, simpily incredible!

Time Warner is waaaay better than Comcast, though (yeah, I know, scary concept). Half the time our stupid box won't even do what we tell it to. It just sits there and blinks, like, "Yeah, I know you sent me a command. But I don't care." I won't be the least bit suprized if it doesn't record this show.

Thanks for the tip. Great show! I have several segments taped that I show my class during the course of a semester, ("How Globes are Made" and "Global Positioning System"). Segments are pretty short, on the order of five to ten minutes each.

Not sure what level you're teaching @ however film clips are prefect....being a Scoutmaster for many years, I've come to conclusion that any presentation lasting longer then 10 minutes (skill instructional) might be a too much...remember we have young men ages 11 - 17.

Hence, the 5 - 10 minute clip is a good reminded to everyone who has to conduct a presentation to any group...if they have questions they will ask after the presetation so allow time for Q&A.

I just wish i could do that on my TIVO DirectTV receiver...

That was somewaht disappointing, except for showing how the 3 pieces of the frame are welded together. It was just not long enough.

O.K. it's not earth shattering but it does give Vespa a good press...I really admire the production line cleanliness and personally would use this video clip if I was selling Vespas to focus in on the quality of the Vespa line.

Then they could us me in their print ads and I know I would generate a ton of sales ......

At least I can laugh at myself!

ASTRO Time Warner's DVR boxes suck I get mine replaced on average twice a year I never watch anything in real time so they do get a workout but Geez..

Just got an email Vespa Oceanside embedded in their newsletter was an annoucement of the Science Channel broadcasting the segment on Vespa...smart promo move on their part.

They said that was a 150 motor, but the front had a radiator. I thought the 150s were air cooled? Am I wrong?

I heard that too and thought it was messed up. It was definitely a 300 that was being built. You could tell from the final body style and handlebars. Don't know where the 150 came from.
