Having owned my china made fly125 for 2 years now I can't fault the reliablity of scooter or the build quality so far , apart from the horn which has always been very quiet and of no use in traffic to alert doozy car drivers .
Then a couple of weeks ago it started playing up sometimes working & then not . The horn on the fly is under the foot boards and you have to remove nearly all the body panels to get to it ( why they could not fit it behind the front horn cover I don't know )
So with the 6000km service coming up I removed the body panels to gain access to variator case to check & clean & adjusted the valve clearances while panels were off .
I checked the horn switch before this and this worked ok & on getting to the horn I checked the wires with a meter which were fine , giving the horn terminals a wobble would get it to work sometimes so the horn was the fault , It was a pretty cheaply made thing for sure with very thin metal & "made in china" on it , So down to the local halfords store and a high tone horn was bought for £9.99 , fitted this and wow 110db and now twice as loud as old one Clown emoticon
