O.K. here are the pics I promised from my earlier reply...captions will give a description of each pic...these are not really "tourist" shots...just from some spots that I stopped at today on my ride.
Diamond Head lookout which is at the base of Diamond Head most folks who visit will eventually make their way around Diamond Head and stop to take in the sights...the best thing to do is continue around until you get to the entrance to go into the crater and take the hike up Diamond Head. Beautiful view at the top...need to insure to bring water and a light snack to spend some time enjoying the view.
Magic Island a local beach park just outside of Waikiki...locals go there to swim, surf, pic nic, fish and just have a nice day at the park!

By the way, it was a nice day...a bit warm...high 80's F but really humid!
