I heard the TV weather guy this morning say it has also been one of the driest on record. I blame Al Gore.

VA We have had Hot and HUMID weather here Granted in summer it does get warmer but not 90-100% humidity I feel like i'm living in FLA Our trade winds usually keep us pretty temperate but it just seems like the clouds keep circling and we get a few drops of rain but nothing else Weird but Sept and Oct can be the hottest months of the year. Maybe this hot weather is keeping the hurricanes away since were in that season and haven't heard much.

It was the coldest day since 1877 the other day.... in Al Gore's home town.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Cool weather has broken a previous low temperature for July 21 in Nashville that was set when Rutherford B. Hayes was president.

When the temperature at the National Weather Service station dipped to 58 degrees at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, it wiped out the previous record low for the date of 60 degrees, which was set in 1877.

NWS forecaster Bobby Boyd noted it was the third consecutive morning when Nashville either tied or broke a daily low temperature record.

Cool July in the bluegrass as well, makes for great riding weather!

It's the same here in Toronto, we are a good 5-6 degrees below normal temperatures. Yes it is nice for riding, but it doesn't feel like summer has started yet.

yea it actually has been a comfy summer, only bummer is that the swimming water has been touchy, ok when moving around but cool when just standing there

Apparently a weak El Nino is in place in the Pacific, so all of the patterns that have been documented to go along with it are starting to show up. It has been cool but exceptionally dry between DC and Baltimore. Last night we got our first significant rain in about 4 weeks. Lots to the north, some to the south, but not here. No complaints though!

And here in the Pacific NW, we're about to enter a heat wave-- high 90's/100 F coming up for the next several days... argh.

Not the norm here so folks are sending out lists of locations with AC so seniors and others can escape the heat.....

I feel exactly the same way. I LIVE for summer. I hope August is hot and sunny! I am enjoying the riding though..

As Judy mentions...it does get hot and humid...but it makes for people enjoying the outdoors...

If you want a hot August, you should come down here to Texas. It's only 86 degrees Fahrenheit right now at 11:10pm CST. It actually was a rather nice day. I think it only got up to 98 or 99

yea it has been crazy hot in the lower midwest, my daughter goes to OK state and shes glad to be back in virginia for the summer. I heard it was over 110F in some places

You want HOT, check out Death Valley. A low tomorrow of 95 with a chance of rain. Just kill me now....

That's rare for South Carolina. I have been there in the summer. It gets hot and humid. Take advantage of it while you can.

It's been so cold up here in Michigan, we have iceburgs out on Lake Michigan!

It's foggy now and our high today is supposed to be 63... typical summer day in SF. Can't wait until fall for the warm weather!

It's been c. 75 F by day and c.60 F by night w/ just enough rain here this year. I'm loving it! Our Ohio apples, wheat, soybeans, tomatoes, grapes, corn, etc. are going to have a banner year (and awesome flavor!). We've had the a/c on for one day only (and I love a/c). Since it's been cooler than usual it must be global warming.

The high yesterday in San Jose was 11℉ below the average temp for that day.

Texas is definitely experiencing some global warming. We must be getting punished for all of the anti-environmental, SUV-driving, govment-hating hicks we have

This year we've had the second wettest summer on record here in New England. I wish I could share some of our rain with you.

I've lived in Florida (Clearwater vicinity) for over 20 years and this has been one of the hottest summers I can remember. My family up in Boston have been complaining about how wet and cold it has been up there. Send me some of that coll air, please!
