The fuel valve is leaking out gasoline on my smallie, is there a gasket in that valve that could be replaced to fix the leaking problem? or do I have to get a new valve?

yes. there's a piece called "rubber fuel tap packing" that you can replace in there, which should fix your problem.

No. All you gotta do is pull out the gas tank so you can access the fuel tap at the bottom. ( it will help if it's empty )

There's two little flathead screws on either side of the tap. Undo those. Then the rotating portion will remove and underneath is a rubber round gasket with 4 holes in it. Just replace that piece.

Then put the thing back together, and get the two flathead screws back in there so that it's as tight as they can be while still allowing you to turn the lever.

I mean, all of this is pending what part of your tap is actually leaking.

If the gas is leaking out between the tank and the valve, then it's possible the nut inside the tank has come loose...and YES you'll need a tool to fix that, but i've NEVER had that happen before.

More often than not, the constant rubbing on the fuel tap packing, combined with the fact that it's rubber sitting in gasoline all day, have probably worn it down to the point it's no longer sealing. That or those two little flathead screws that hold it all together have come loose and need to be tightened.

The packing is a 2 dollar part, though, so just order it in advance of pulling the whole thing apart, and replace it anyways. It could be the fuel is leaking out of the hose around the tap and you need to tighten your worm-drive clamp.
