Yeah but the Symba copy was on display at AmeriVespa. It is very similar, and is made by a Taiwanese manufacturer who made it for Honda for many years. I really liked it a lot. The fit and finish were very good. I would not cry too much over having to settle for the Symba rather than the Super Cub.

[Edit, sorry, I see now that you are in London. I don't know whether Sym is shipping the Symba to Europe.]

I have wondered if Sym is making the Cub for Honda again. Come on... Sym only produced like 60 Million of them for Honda.

For those in the know to answer?
If the Honda Super Cub was/is 110cc's and the SYM Symba is 101cc's and The FlyScooter Scout is 110cc's would the Scout be more Honda Cub like?

Is the Honda and FlyScooter Engine, one in the same?

Was the "original" Cub Engine less than 110cc's?

Best regards,

Mike Lynch

I saw the Symba at AV2009 and like the Super Cub's headset/handlebar set up better...(from what I can see from the pictures of the SC)

This is something my wife may upgrade to from her Metro...or if they were to simply come out with a 100 / 125 cc Metro that would work.

Thanks for sharing...

The original "Cub" was 50cc. The American "Passport" aka "Super Cub" was 70cc. Max speed was about 45 mph, and it had a 3 speed semi-automatic transmission. I had a showroom new bright yellow 1982 I rode to college .

The Symba is 101.4cc and max speed (according to their sheet) is 56 mph.
It has 6.7 hp, and gets 153 mpg @ 25 mph. It now has a 4 speed semi-auto tranny.
