Tonight on The Science Channel show " How it's Made" @ 9:00pm PST they are going to show how a Vespa is made. It was on at 6:00pm and I missed it. Watch or DVR it.

VISIT THE VESPA PRODUCTION PLANT IN ITALY FROM THE COMFORTS OF YOUR COUCH.
SEE HOW YOUR VESPA IS MADE.

Tune in to the Science Channel and watch "How It's Made"
Friday, July 24, 9:00pm EST Replays @ midnite
Check your local TV listings for broadcast schedule and channel

For those of you not familiar with the program, each segment serves as a mini-documentary on the manufacturing process of a product generally known to the public. In this episode viewers will see first hand how a Vespa is produced; from the beginning stages of development where the steel monocoque frame is welded together straight through to the finished product.

Please check the Science Channel's website and your local listings to see the numerous broadcast times (The Vespa segment is episode 13 of How It's Made 6).

Great show. Maybe they'll do a long segment on this one. Should be interesting.

It was only the last 5 minutes of the show. They kept mixing up the models but was neat to see. HDTV does a show where they spot a motorcycle maker. I have seen BMW, Honda, MV Augusta, and Harley Davidson. A full 1 hour show, very cool. Now if they would do that on Piaggio, show Vespa, Aprilla, Gilera, and most important to us the MP3 production.

I often catch the reruns on Fridays, on both the Science and the Discovery channels.

Discovery channel would seem more appropriate.

I found it interesting that the power train was installed as a complete unit, even including the tire.

The Show is called "Twist The Throttle" It is shown on HD Theatre every Monday night at 7 PM Pacific Time. This show is set to record on my DVR-HD. I got Direct TV because of the NFL Sunday Ticket. But now after seeing this show I am really happy I got Satellite TV. I do not know if Piaggio per se will ever be on this show. They emphasize the Sport Bikes. REcommend the show highly...
