Tonight on The Science Channel show " How it's Made" @ 9:00pm PST they are going to show how a Vespa is made. It was on at 6:00pm and I missed it. Watch or DVR it.

VISIT THE VESPA PRODUCTION PLANT IN ITALY FROM THE COMFORTS OF YOUR COUCH.
SEE HOW YOUR VESPA IS MADE.

Tune in to the Science Channel and watch "How It's Made"

For those of you not familiar with the program, each segment serves as a mini-documentary on the manufacturing process of a product generally known to the public. In this episode viewers will see first hand how a Vespa is produced; from the beginning stages of development where the steel monocoque frame is welded together straight through to the finished product.

Boring commentary but interesting video.

They said it was a 150 that was being built but it sure looked like a 300!

It was a bit "lite" and hurried - would've been nice to see some in-depth stuff: the stamping of monocoque panels, the R&D shop, the test track. They did a better job in as little time showing the manufacture of cookware.

Deseves a detailed treatment, like you see on "Twist the Throttle." Still, nice to watch a bit of assembly...

I googled How It's Made Episode Vespa, and came up with this Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002J0MQ5Q/ref=atv_dp_season/178-6446803-2412444

You get two minutes free and then somehow have to pay $1.99 to watch the rest. My DSL is too slow and the posts above make me not want to bother. But, if you have access to very fast internet and want to spend the two bucks, it is available on line. I checked YouTube but did not find anything. After a while some YouTube Vespa fan will make it available.

you noticed that too? looks like they were showing different scoots for each segment, and by the time they were finished they had a GTS300, a 150S and an LX150 lined up.

I still enjoyed it.

I noticed that too. They went back and forth between the three. They show the radiator installation and then talk about the 150. Very poorly put together.
