Why am I so Super happy? Do you remember my test ride thread? You'll recall the part where I said

I guess the question is though, would I trade my GTS 250 in for this new GTS 300. In short, the answer is no. The difference in torque albeit great, is not enough to make me want to trade in my GTS. I actually prefer the extra information that dash on the 250 gives as well that the 300 doesn't have, things such as outside temperature, tachometer and trip odometer. However, that being said, if my current ride wasn't the GTS, but was instead the GT200, I think there would be another used Vespa for sale and a new GTS Super 300 in my garage.
Well I'll have to eat my words because I ended up with this.
I have to say I'm even more impressed with my ride today on my brand new Vespa GTS 300 Super, much more than on my test ride a few months ago. I've modded this new GTS with the Xenon headlight, rear crash bars, Jettin rear suspension bushings, Powerlet power outlet, Stebel airhorn, GIVI E350 topcase with a brake light (from my 250) and Vespa S back rest. Oh, I almost forgot, heated grips too. Then the one thing that might actually affect performance just a touch, the Leo Vince 4 Road pipe, although I don't think it actually makes much of a performance difference, but it does sound awesome.
I was a bit critical of the 300 Super on the highway when I did the test ride. However, today I rode it much more on the highway and with the flyscreen it is much more impressive and acceleration is much more powerful than my old GTS 250. The take off from a stop is really really impressive, but the pick up all the way to 120 km/hr indicated to match the traffic around me was effortless and better than on my old 250. After doing more riding today, I think Vespa has altered the suspension because this scooter actually handles a touch better than the 250 did, or might the difference just be new shocks? The ride feels firmer and better controlled, yet it seemed to suck up the bumps in the road better somehow. Perhaps it is my imagination, but that was my impression after taking it all over the city.
What can I say, just love how it looks, there isn't another scooter out there that I would want instead of this one. Sorry if it sounds like I'm gushing, because I am, I couldn't be happier at the moment with my new Super. It is also the first GTS 300 Super in Dragon Red in Canada.
The question now is, should I name it the Devil Scoot? There were only 666 raffle tickets after all in that raffle that I won.
