I'm probably well behind the times here and would be very surprised if it hadn't been posted here before... But this is the first time I have read it so maybe not...

In 3rd place: the Gilera GP800 (read Mana)

In 2nd place: the Sym Citicon 300

In 1st place: the Honda SH300 "Hell it's the best scooter...period."

Read all about it here Scooter of the year 2008

We can't get the SH300 Stateside, but the Sym 300 is available I believe. Might be worth a roll...

Maybe the 150 is testing the water?

I think you're right - that's probably Honda's intention, though if you have the #1 selling scooter in Europe, just bring the effer to the U.S. and to hell with "testing" the water.

Agreed. Honda USA seem to have their heads further up their arses than Piaggio USA Laughing emoticon

Hadn't seen that review before, but hell yeah, they're bang on the button with the GP800.

Yeah and they are ban on the button with the SH as well. Apart from being ugly (the looks are growing on me ) it runs rings around the GTS as stated in the full review...

And at last...

I have finally managed to get my little ET4 out on the road after five weeks of faffing around and I'm amazed what a great little scoot it is. 65mph on the A12 and overtaking everything.... perhaps cos the posted limit is 50!

Heh. They are all great bikes for what they are. As long as one knows and accepts the limitations of each, they are *all* good, and fun to ride.

That's interesting... A while back I test rode a Citycom300 and HD 200. I found that the Citycom was sluggish and heavy and to be more precise quite top heavy. I thought the HD 200 blew it out of the water... Perhaps the 300 was too new and needed to be broken in more...

As for the Honda SH 150 in Canada... it's on hold for the time being, something about Transport Canada testing and such according to the Honda press release.

I guess I should show this picture that I posted over on the MP3 page.

The rumor has it debuting during the EICMA show in November. Powered by the Piaggio Mana 850 engine and transmission.

Well, wheel size, gearing, etc, all have a part in it, not just whether or not the engine is broken in. Same with weight, variator tuning... I mean there's a billion reasons why the 300 would feel sluggish compared to the 200. They're pretty vastly different bikes. Just a few things to think about.
