I need to sell my 2002 Vespa ET4 150, 17,600 miles. I bumped my head, unrelated to the scooter, and had to undergo brain surgery. I do not want to take any chances in he future with a head blow from a scooter accident.

The scooter is in really good condition.I have driven it to and from work mostly. New rear tire, brakes and battery. New updated top case. Maintenance just performed. How do I set a fair price? Are there depreciation tables to reference? I have a buyer that may be interested.

i also have throw-ins of 2 Nolan helmets, a River Road rain suit, a Vespa rain cover, a brand new Corazzo riding jacket, an Oxford Tripwire XL lock with dual force cable, and a new Delco battery tender.

I would appreciate any suggestions as o how o se a fair price. Thanks very much.

KBB actually includes scooters, and it may give a decent benchmark.

Trade-in: http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/trade-in/2002/vespa/et4/81098
Retail: http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/2002/vespa/et4/81098

The price should probably fall between those two, excluding accessories. I've been lurking around though and noticed that accessories really don't get a fair amount when bundled with a scooter in one big sale--seem to lose at least 50% from what I've noticed.

Note expected mileage is around 10k so yours depreciated more:

This forum has a sales page that might help you out and/or your local Craigslist.

I mostly used CL for a few weeks to figure out what asking prices were for GT's when I was looking to purchase.

geez, sorry to hear about the head injury but I think you are probably very wise to take care of your noggin like this. I had a relatively minor head injury back in 1994 ina car wreck and it took a solid year before I felt like myself again. I think it still affects me sometimes in terms of memory, but at this point I compensate pretty well. Glad to hear you are on the mend!

Stay safe!
