Hey Everyone:

Finally was able to pickup the Vespa in the color I was looking for, a 2007 Avio Grey GTV250 after weeks of looking. Got hooked up by Jennifer from VespaSF who is Amazing by the way and found the ride I was looking for. There was one issue which I'm happy to address for her finding me my GTV...a dent that the previous owner had by banging into a side pole.

Any ideas or recommendations on a Body shop in the SF Bay Area who can bang out the dent? Also, with the unique color of the Avio Grey which is somewhat "pearlescent", should I avoid having the small nick since I may not match and just put a nifty sticker over it? I sought out a car body shop but I wasn't sure if I should seek a motorcycle/scooter specialist who has worked on Vespas as opposed to cars.

I'm sure I'm not the first one to have to seek the craftsmanship of a talented body shop. Any suggestions are much appreciated!!!

Why not just take it to Vespa SF? They do actually have a good body shop - when I first started out riding I hit a paint stripe in the rain and washed out, and completely smashed my cowl. They got the dent out and made it look like new.

if not, and you don't mind going down to central Cali, go to Bulletproof Scooters / Vespa of Santa Maria. Mark Wilson's shop does wonders.

I'll be back there this week for a couple other installs
I'm dropping off the Vespas this week to have top cases, stebel horns, and AC charging outlets installed...I'll have them take a look at removing the dent as well. I wasn't sure if a body shop would be better than sending it to their service dept, but I'll see what they can do and report back!

PR Auto Body on California Avenue in Burlingame did a wonderful job of de-denting my cowl and matching the paint color. Just another option.

they have a whole body shop portion to their shop. They do everything. The same body shop is also capable of working on those very expensive luxury cars they sell...

... and if you don't get it done there for whatever reason I have a good PDR guy who will come to you.

As far as the nick goes... a little touch up paint or a sticker works.
