If your scooter's running flawlessly, don't mess with it!

At less than two miles a day and the subsequent fill-up frequency (or wavelength?) - probably not.

I've had mine unplugged from the carb, but otherwise intact until this spring. Just out of curiousity, I plugged it back in. It ran like crap and then would not start. Needless to say, I unplugged it again. I also removed the whole thing a couple months ago. There was no good reason to keep the canister and rollever valve in there along with the hose. I also didn't like the hose coming out of the intake manifold, so I plugged it with a silicon cap.

For me, it is just one less thing that can go wrong and I really don't feel it adds any value.

I also have the ET4 150 and the evap system is a hassle only when I overfill, I learned the hard way, when the gas pump nozzle clicks off, your full, I tried to squeeze as much gas as I could, the warning sticker is right! If it runs great, just leave it.... I just have to fill up every 3 days.

Yep here's that label...FYI...

I just disconnected the overflow hose from the filler neck this weekend. I call this Part 2 of the process...this takes away the pressure build up in the gas tank.

I had removed the evap. hose from my carburator ~ 1 month ago. I call this Part 1 and it is in the Wiki Library.

Again, this posting applies to my GT200.
