LX150 has no problems holding 80kph
I'd be fine with that. Some might want a little more power.

I've got an ET4 150, but it can easily handle 50mph/80kph. Two-up is miserable unless you are just going down the block.

I would definitely consider it for a commuter. I ride it on the back road highways at 55mph all the time.

for a solo rider, no problem. two up might be a bit cramped but unless you're both very large and/or riding into a strong headwind and/or up a large hill, you should be able to keep up with traffic.

The LX 150 is a fun scooter and I'd ride it for that distance as a single rider. You can do it two up but it will be slow to accelerate depending on the size of the two riders.

I commuted for a year on an LX on an expressway with 50 mph speed limit. About 12 miles in each direction. It worked great. The LX comfortably cruises between 50 - 60 mph, so I had no issues keeping up with traffic.

I would say no way. Just my opinion. My SH300 feels much slower with a pillion (both of us are 180lbs) and it has twice the power to weight ratio of the LX. Not impossible by any means, but I'd get a GTS for that. The pillion rider combo isn't that comfortable on a GTS as the pillion's feet dig into the back of the rider's calves when they put their feet down at a stop....

i commute with an lx150 for 80km each day. it will handle 80km/h fine, I have had it up to 100km/h. although I am around 200cm tall and find it a bit small and it can feel a little light at time especially in strong winds.

haven't ridden 2 up yet but not really keen to experience it for long journeys.

If that is the actual speed, then the LX would be fine. However, I find that on busier road, a posted speed of 80kph may actually mean 100 kph real traffic speed. An LX holding at that speed, on a busy road, may be a bit tense.

I've had no problem commuting 2 up on my Fly150 for about 5.5 miles each way.

In the morning when traffic was light cars would go way above the posted speed limit and I would be creeping in the right lane to avoid slowing anyone else down (I would occasionally hit the restrictior).

Going home was much easier as cars would go between 40-60 mph. In that situation we kept up flawlessly two up (about 350 lbs)

My LX keeps a solid 55/mph (real speed) 60/mph shown all the way I ever

go. A good solid machine in MHO. I would never take it on the super slab.

You have pretty much described my commute. It is great, no problems.

I never ride 2 up so cannot speak to that.

A 150 is fine for the superslab. Hold your lane, keep alert and try not to back off the throttle unless you have to.

Wide open throttle, wide open fun...

40 miles round trip on freeway going 60mph no problem. Easy to go between cars too. Two up harder. Scoot takes a long time to speed up. Brakes are bad two up also. Wouldn't go that long two up.
