Modern Vespa

I need to get some spray can paint to match the colour of my Cortina Silver LX 125. Has anyone with the same problem found a suitable match in a commonly available car spray paint?

My dealer has quoted me £100 to respray two plastic panels!

I thought I was the only one having difficulty in getting a paint match for a Vespa LX125. I had a minor accident and a friend ordered some silver paint using the Vespa code. When the damaged panels were sprayed, the colour did not match. My local garage, which colour matches paint ,made up a new batch for me and now the panels are sprayed, they are a different colour still. Everybody says what a bugger silver is to match. Have you had any luck so far if so advice would be appreciated. And another thing, applying clear lacquer with an aerosol has given a patchy finish! Think I will steer clear of silver in the future.
