Modern Vespa

Hi guys,

New MP3 500 owner here and the day before my wife bought a Toyota Sienna van, go figure! Anyhow, in the process of buying the vehicles the dealer recommended we buy GAP Insurance as it would pay the difference in value between what we owe and what the vehicle was worth.

We were hesitant but thought it might be best to do and stumped up $695. Today, my wife checked with our insurance company and they too offer GAP Insurance at $22 a year!!!!!!!!!! We canceled it with the dealer today.

SO if anyone is buying a car or scooter and you're offered GAP Insurance, check your current provider first and save some money.

Never buy insurance through the dealer, or paint sealer, or etched glass, or pinstriping, or Scotchgard. Those are all packs that are almost pure profit.
