Hello there,

My lovely vespa (Speedy) is not well. Yesterday, while I was riding in one of the busiest road in London it turned off all of the sudden. Initially i thought the drive belt was snapped but that seems to be ok. After few kicks, I can start the bike and ride it for few meters, say 100 meters, after that the engine gets jammed and the rear wheel is kind being gripped by something until it turns off the engine. I recently change the drive belt DIY. Hope i haven't done anything wrong while i changed the belt. Help Please!

Hello Jim,

I changed the belt last week and it was up and running for untill yesterday. do you thing something is wrong with belt? Because the engine runs for a while without any trouble and turns off just after 100 meters.

Thanks

Something is seizing up your rear transmission components - this may well be the belt twisted or something. Did you use the OEM belt or some aftermarket one?
