Does anyone know whether all of the Vespa Branded helmets which have been approved by the European standards authorities are all legal to where in the UK - I was looking at a piaggio Micro Helmet but am not sure whether I could get away with wearing one over here.

Hi, no problem with helmets Piaggio and Vespa brand, the micro Piaggio Helmets have E3 approved simbol as Vespa flag helmets.
Are you 100% legal. Very beauty the micro helmet of Piaggio. I will buy one the next month.

Omologazione: ECE 22.05

Hi Mo,

They are legal over here.

http://londonbikers.com/news/6889/piaggio-micro-helmet

I have a Vespa helmet too (a vespa soft touch), but to be honest I keep it for passengers now, I got smacked in the face with a bottle (plastic) that a car driver slung at me so now I wear a full face. I also found the Vespa helmet less value for money and a bit noisy.

Thanks
Marc

I love the vespa brand all stylish and sheek most of the time Have they (vespa) not managed to design a full face helmet yet?

Highjacking this thread and turning it back to life after its long sleep....

Thinking of buying a spare helmet that I can bring as a passenger helmet or use while traveling which has to be smaller, obviously, than my current helmet.

The micro caught my interest but I do like visors, and thus I wanted to ask if anyone has any indication of the size difference between the Piaggio Micro and the Piaggio Copter?

On photo it looks like the plastic shell is absolutely the same (=low => enters in hand luggage) and that the difference is the visor and lining .

Anyone that can confirm that?

Many thanks, Victor
