Hey guys. I noticed every so often ,on certain roads my Vespa feels like its pulling one direction (either left or right while riding) . It happens sporadically. So my question is is it the road, the bike or me???
I get the same feeling... I believe it is the road, sometimes there is a hump in the middle of the lane, going from one slope to the other makes it feel like weight is shifting. I suggest it's not your vespa's problem, because I also get the same sensation on my Honda 750.
Hard to say, really. Could be grooves in the road sucking you in a direction. Could be poor balance or something loose in your front end. Have you checked your tire pressure? Does it occur when keeping a steady pace, or just when accelerating or decelerating?
My guess is that it is the environment, but check your tire pressure and front fork and wheel for wobble and let us know
Most roads have a "crown" built into them, it aids in water runoff. In areas of heavy annual rainfall, the crown may be steeper. Multi lane roads may even have a double crown between lanes. Add rain grooves and the fun can really begin.
