Since I began riding last summer, I have been searching for gloves I like for riding in warmer weather. Some of the ones I tried were well vented but not comfortable for the distance I ride on a daily basis. One pair was comfortable and offered pretty good hand protection but turned out not to be very durable after a few months of riding. So last week I ordered another pair of gloves. These are leather and some other materials in non-critical areas with EVA foam on the thumb and in other areas to combat vibration. Plus carbon fibre knuckle protection. (I say they have that "Darth Vader" look.)

So far I have only ridden with these gloves on a couple days but I am impressed. I expected I would have to do much shorter rides for break in. However, I am already able to make my complete ride in these gloves. The fit is a bit tight right now but the feel is comfortable and I believe the fit will get a little looser over time. Well here is a pic.

Nice!

I just got some Alpinestar gloves myself, the Stella ones. I wanted kind of a mid-range glove, as I have winter gloves, and mesh gloves already. Turns out I had good timing, in that a hole wore through my mesh pair the day after I got the Alpinestars. They do seem a bit tight at first, but I expect them to gradually wear in, seeing as how they're leather. It's nice to find a pair that fits relatively well, since I have small hands.
