went for a 100 mile ride saturday and when i parked scooter at home noticed small oil spot. will drain and fill gearbox with 30wt nondetergent oil is this ok?

im guessing its spewed up some 2t oil and maybe some petrol then the petrol just evaporates? itll still drip off the back though where the drain plug is

That's what i'd guess.

Your carb belches gas back up into the air filter. It leaks down and pools up in the carb box, and then drips out the back down the hole in the back of the carb box.

Now, there's actually a rubber plug to fill that hole, which would probably stop the leaking down the back.
