Changed the belt and JCosta'd the variator last night (thanks to you all). So I figured while I'm workin in the area I'll clean the air filter. I undid the first few screws on the lower right hand side and oil poured out. Wha? emoticon Down the driveway it goes. I'm scambling to clean it up because I was't prepared for that. A lot of oil came out and obviously that's not right. So why could this have happened and what is the most likely reason.

Thanks,Mike

Thanks Matt. I'll do the mod ASAP.
On a side note the install went well though!

I have had this mod for sometime now. Never have had a drop of oil since. I found a pre-curved radiator hose that fit it perfectly. Here is some more info. Part # for mod is also in this link.

MP3 500 air filter filling with oil, any ideas why? (Post 456352)

I got the stuff today and will install it tomorrow morn.
The problem is I shouldn't have to do it. Talk about design flaw. I know it is cramped for space but come on. A vertical tube going straight up seems to make more sense.
