You spend all the time slagging Yardsale and as soon as he posts here having a go back suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread and the nicest bloke in the world. Actually, for those who've never tried it,
being in the bottom few on the karma list is REALLY unpleasant
unless you take pride in that sort of thing

I guess that's just about exactly what I, the OP, meant about growing some self-esteem on yer 'hide'! Because to tell'ya the truth, any 'ratings' I might get here (or most anywhere else for that matter), don't mean a hill of beans to me! I care about people, my intentions are (usually) good, and if someone doesn't quite understand or like me or my ways, there's really nothing I can do about it..., So, so be it!

Alan Ginsberg, the very openly gay poet, was once asked wasn't he worried about what people would think about him because of his openness in his writings about his sexuality? His reply was, "What others may think about me is really none of my business!" +1+1+1+1+1

If you have the mod or even a red slash, at least some anonymous individual in the virtual hinterland is acknowledging your existence. Those of us with none of those are so lowly that we don't even register on anyone's radar. We're stealth posters!
