Every now and then (when I am in work wearing glasses), I will bend over at the waist, take off my glasses, look into the distance and make a truly cheesy comment. David Caruso style 8)

Anyway back to David Caruso.

He sucks, everyone knows it. But that is the joy.

Sometimes we see dog shit, it's horrible. It smells and it spreads diseases. But the temptation is to jump up and down on it and squash it into a squashy lump of poo. I say, revel in the shite, jump up and down in it, swim in it, and enjoy it.

that's the spirit marc you've given me the will to carry on with the article i'm writing. it was going horribly earlier today but now that i know it's okay to revel in the shit i can limp it to a thoroughly lame conclusion and feel good about it.

DC must not being doing all that bad...he the star of his own has his own show...got a job and earning a living...

BTW. Jeffrey Donovan (Michael Westen); Burn Notice has his own thing about sun glasses. Bruce Campbell (Sam Axe), Gabrelle Anway (Liona) and Sharon Gless (Madeline Westen; Michael's Mom)...complement each other rather well in this series. Jeffrey Donovan had some bit parts, most recently in Clint Eastwood's Changling (bad guy).

Also came across an old CBS series (reruns); Hack on David Morse is main character...but Andre Braugher is his former partner and is really great in a supporting role. This was short lived but is a good series...air'd in the UK and Australia.

Yes all of that is true but he's still really crap at acting which when it's your job to be an actor, even a one dimentional one you've got to be at best reaonable.

Which he's not.

The worst. CSI: Miami *might* be a decent show if not for him. OK, so, it probably wouldn't be a decent show, but it would be far better.

David Carusso is possibly the worst actor ever! Descriptions such as "ham" and the like, simply do not do him justice.

The man embodies all the qualities of the quintessential poseur! He punctuates every single word and body motion in a sad attempt to make his scenes poignant, pertinent and profound ... yet only manages to turn his character into a poor clone of Adam West (TV's Batman in the 60's) with equal portions of schlock and schmaltz.

His dour emotiveness, physical grandstanding and ever so slowly spoken (broken) sentences, intended to make viewers perceive him as the strong, thoughtful, yet wounded defender of the powerless; is so nauseating that one might want to keep a bottle of Pepto handy.

I like the CSI series ... but I can't bare to watch CSI Miami and Carusso is the reason. I am dumbfounded that it is still on the air!

Ahhh. Just like family.

I don;t like CSI miami for the same reason but now that I read this thread in his defence he may be acting in a genre like some plays like Filthy Rich I think written by David Mamoth where the actors are one dimensional characters and are directed in this manner. The problem with this is that few actors get the idea and if everybody is not doing the same thing those that are look silly. Usually it is directed in this vein because the material like CSI is so lame so tempting to make it beleivable is condescending to the audience. Maybe DC is the only actor that is any good at following direction. when I see dog shit, I pick it up if it is from my dog, walk around it when someone elses.... If i had a white seat I wouldn't be jumping on dog shit.

What gets me is how he has to stop talking (in mid sentence if necessary) until he has finished putting the sunglasses on.

I wonder how he goes walking and chewing gum at the same time.

Don it's a pause for dramatic.............effect.

Unless his sunglasses connect him to his life force and just before his energy levels drop.........he reconnects himself and whallop we have the rest of the sentence.

Just an idea.

Haha, that's definitely your mistake! I'm not a huge crime show fan, but my wife loves them. She won't let me sit in the same room while CSI Miami is on because I make too many comments. I don't mind Las Vegas. Laurence Fishburne is great, and I like watching New York because one of my customers is in the cast. Support the TV shows/movies of Vespa riding actors!
