On a different note, i'm considering spending Sunday night back towards the Cornish/Devon border somewhere. Gotta be cheaper than Lands End and puts me further along my route home. What do you think?

That sounds good. As long as we get some sort of picture of us all at Lands End, it doesn't really matter where we sleep.

Have you booked the Exeter Travelodge yet mate?

Nope I am holding out in case I can find something more interesting. I have been looking but nothing in Exeter jumps out. Probably will end up with the Travelodge

I am just bumping this back up for any newbies who may be around. I have been really busy with work and family and have not payed alot of attention to this, but I will no doubt be working very hard on this after the new year.

I think that is fair. But if you were there it would have been different!

I still think that it's madness to expect 125's to make the journey even in thier own time.

I know I no longer ride one but I wouldn't want to make that journey on anything smaller than a 200.

You'd be wringing thier collective necks for most of the ride which wouldn't be my idea of fun.

I'm sticking my neck out and say it should be for 200's and above just because of the time and distance involved and we do want to do it together ?

Marc, it's only a suggestion but how about appointing a spokesman/organiser for the 125 crue ?

Just a thought.

I don't see the problem really.

If enough 125's wanna go then two groups is ok, after all it's up to those riding the 125's whether they want a sore arse or not innit?

Its seeming like a very long weekend for my little scoot...

I may have to bow out.

We will organise things with a 200+ schedule.

If any of the 125's wishes to organise a second group you are welcome. I would suggest posting here if you still wish to take part and then we can try to do something.

I will post this on the blog and facebook group too.

I would like to bet that, barring mechanical or navigational failure, the 125 group arrives no more than five minutes later than the 'fast' group at any meeting-point.

Mark my words.

That's my bet as well.

And my bet is that there won't be a 125 group at all.

I think that's the idea at the start point in Margate and at the museum at Tangmere (both RAF related). 8)

I meant pre-ride, so we have more fuel for the justgiving page, blog and so on, but possibly a nightmare to organise...

i'm with Husky and Jim. the 125s will make it, valiant little buggers that they are. i may even ride with them part way as a gesture of solidarity - after all, one of my former 125s will be making the trip i think alex is planning on taking a couple of days off work after the event so he doesn't have to thrash it all the way back.

I am relatively inexperienced in these matters and I have tried to go with majority rule. If the people with 125's want to do it then fine, more the merrier.

I will also ride with the 125's for a while, just because I would like to spend some time with Alex, Richie and Alice.

I would like to go there, but I have no free weekend days until 2010. With the exception of next Sunday.

If you need someone to lead the 125er's and there's no other takers, I'll do it.

But I warn you, I'm not armed with gps and may get the group lost, or lose the group.
