Why do you have a 24/24 on a PX150 motor? Is your motor kitted or something?

My PX150 motor is stock 20/20 carb, air filter drilled out, Pinasco exhaust and I'm running a 105 main jet (98 main stock).

Nay! you don't need a 24mil carb on a standard 150 even with a sito+. It'll bog that bugger down.

get that 20mil carb out jet it right and you should be goooood to go.

On my Sprint I have a 20/20 carb, sito plus, malossi 166(160 be3 103)
It runs perfectly, can hit 65 mph plus easily.
No dead zones. Mucho power up hills, and
everywhere else. I use a B9HS Plug.

On my PX125 I have:

20/20 Carb
Pinasco 177 kit
Sito+ exhaust
Jetting is 160/BE3/105

Its been like this for about 1000 miles and it runs great. I considered getting a 24/24, but after numerous discussions I decided to stick with the stock 20/20

There isn't a dearth of advice in this post... the advice just seems to be that the 24/24 is overkill. You didn't say if your scoot was otherwise kitted yet or anything either. Folks are just trying to help!

I think you're just going to have a hard time finding someone running a 24/24 on a stock 150cc with the stock exhaust.

I went through the whole scoot.net jetting database.. and the only people with a 24/24 on their 150cc engine had kitted to 177 or 166 and were running a big pipe.

good luck.

You're funny, you asked for advice, people told you what
they were doing(with good results). I'm sure you could
dial in the larger carb.............the real question is it going to be
a Gas Hog, without much more power, or top end mph(vrs the 20/20)?
Good luck. 8)

Apparently NOBODY but YOU has a 24/24 on a stock PX150.

So why didn't you just ask the 4 different Vespa mechanics including their mothers or Eric at ASC what to do?

We are lucky to be on here with people that know their shit who share their experiences and knowledge. You end up learning a lot by just listening or in this case reading their shared advice. There is no reason to get defensive and put up attitude where it don't belong when people ask you why you are doing something. They are just trying to understand what it is that you are doing so that way they can offer their advice and help.

We have a great group of people on here from all different sorts of back grounds and there is a mutual respect between us. We would like to keep it that way.

It seems that we might have out-BBSed the BBS. I think we may have driven the poor guy away. If so, that's too bad.
