GF and I jumped on the 300 today and did a mini tour of Detroit today. After I put on the cuppini crash bars we Hit the downtown , rode along the river sort of, looked at old mansions, Circled Belle Isle and stopped at Fishbones a local cajun place for lunch. Day was perfect at around 70 degrees and sunny. The 300 did 2 up on the highway 70-75 mph no problem. Even passed a few cars. Stop and go on the scoot was easy as butter. A lot easier than on my motorcycle. Seat is a bit harsh with 2 though. And the gas gauge is very pessimistic. Fun day over all.
Hey Shadydevil74,
That sounds like a great ride in a great city. I scoot almost every day to downtown Detroit and freaking love it. Come on out to a meeting and introduce yourself. This week (Aug. 3) is at the WAB in Ferndale around 7:30 (scooter time). Hope to see you there... and check us out here --> www.rovers-usa.com
At lunch GF and I were saying to each other we should have brought the camera. I could have shot some good urban wasteland shots as well as some of the nicer spaces that Detroit has. The old train station that a lot of movies are shot at is a classic. Well still have some good weather left so I will post when i get a chance. Plus I still have my cider run and leaf ride still in the works. Might be on the motorcycle but still there are some pretty shots.
I've seen the rover site and when they probably get together. 20-30 scoots outside WAB on woodward. I might crash one of their gatherings in the next couple weeks.
