Not mine, but I was bidding on a Honda Dream the same seller had on auction, when I noticed he has this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Makes-VESPA-150-SPRINT-1968-VESPA-150-SPRINT-SCOOTER-RESTORED-AND-JUDGED-WOW_W0QQitemZ280389513623QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item4148847197&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14

Does this look correct to you guys? I would have guessed a little iffy, but I am not an expert on this era Vespa.

Thoughts?

So, given that you guys are backing my suspicions, we must THEN assume the guy is completely lying about the 'credentials' of the scooter and the paperwork he is showing in his auction. Which makes me now believe I should not even think about spending a dime with this guy on anything he owns, cuz this would make him a dirtbag for lying about it.

Just because some motorcycle club judged it and said that it looks pretty doesn't mean much. In this pic, it list P.T. Danmotors. Google that and it comes up in Indonesia. I'm just sayin'...

I sent the seller an email, suggesting the scooter may have been sold to him with some bad sales hype. Not suggesting that he knew anything about it. He responded with an email telling me to never bid on any of his items and not to email him again.

I think he knows what he is doing.

this is my favorite shot (aside from the yellow boots). the lever is secured by a bolt with caps on either end... probably pretty safe to assume every place there's a thread is stripped out.

all these bikes for resale have <100 miles. (this one 66). I put more than that on my beater P every week.

there are 24 bids? so it's still working... I see a lot of these (in the bay area) in remote areas. impulse buys? usually not running, still asking a lot (because they think they're worth a lot). eventually they'll all be worth virtually nothing, i'd imagine... still, is cheap enough, i'd probably buy one, and rescue it...

Good eye... cuz that should be threaded if it were done correctly. I miss all the little minor details like that.

What is really bad about this clown is he supplies a judging sheet which implies it has some kind of provenance or COA or sorts, which of course, it does not. What a snake.
