I think it is an awesome story. Nothing terribly hard to understand and very few "Big words", so I am not sure what Jim is having such difficulty with...except finding yet another reason to grumble.

Jim is referring to the subject of the post.
Not only are the shoes useless to protect your feet the outfit is totally useless to protect anything else. I wonder how good she would look after laying the scooter down and sliding about 30 feet with a roll about every 5 feet? All that skin and flesh on the road would make it dangerous for other scooter riders for a while. Have to watch the slippery spots. Toreador Pants

That is a hot pic.
Girl is cute. Scooter is awesome... love the original paint, the beat up glovebox cowl, and how she mounted 2 additional spotlight to the mirror brackets. I've never seen anyone do that before. |

jimc- Is the spelling/grammar the problem? I had to read it several times to to decode it, too.

Very nice pic (shoes, skirt/short, girl and scooter). I'm not much for heels. Flip-flops are much more practical on a scooter.

I'm pretty sure that it's fairly safe to go without Toreador Pants if you are only sitting on a scooter for a photo shoot.

But what kind of role model are we wanting to present to those who are young and impressionable?
I cringe, probably due to having been a paramedic for 13 years, at the sight of someone riding in shorts, low top sneakerswith no socks, and t-shirt. Of course I have the same feeling when I see someone on the interstate system here in the US passing me when I'm doing the speed limit without a helmet. I will not reply to any attempt at continueing to beat the dead horse about helmet laws. To each his own. I'm just describing my feelings when I see certain things. All that together probably has to do with my opinion on this subject. |

Shoes
Update: We just got back from a rally in Austin, Texas. She wore that type shoe everywhere we went. Here are a few photos from a pretty rough ride - 40 miles or so in really hilly country, lots of curves too. Piston Broke S.C. does fast rides. An SS180 went off the road into the brush and it took 3 people to pull it out. I think there were about 60 scooters on that ride. So here's our Rosie (Rocio Ildemaro).
Note: The original poster is the person right beside her in the below shot. And in the middle of the pack getting back out onto Farm Rd 2222. So anyway, Rosie doesn't just wear them on photo shoots. A bunch of us go riding on Sundays and she always wears the shoes she makes when she's riding. It's really nice riding with her. |

When I started reading this thread I just thought another pretty face advocating her shoe line.
As I read on I realized that here's a young lady: 1. Looks good in a photo shoot. 2. 32 years old creating her own line of shoes...basically running her own business. 3. Seems down to earth not hesitant to get her hands dirty and get on the road. From what I gather from the pics she seems to be a competent rider...probably better than me. Try and picture me in some high heeled shoes and planting my foot down at a stop...then again don't I respect anyone who has that due diligence...you go Rosie! kyle.salter, I only wish she would wear more protective gear to prevent any superficial injuries. |
