OK, I admit it...
I'd be willing to wear a lot less gear if it allowed me to look anything like that riding a scooter ![]() (especially to promote my personal line of shoes) It's most unlikely, though |

I just thought of something. A couple of months ago I took a picture of the shoes Kyle and Rocio were wearing at The Londoner (we were there out scooters, they block off parking in front). Too bad Kyle wasn't wearing his orange Crocs.

Just sat and read through this with my 14-year-old daughter. She thought these were awesome shoes, and the fact that she rides a scooter in them made them even better. Regardless of opinions on "appropriate riding gear" (we don't judge), Rocio is definitely making scooter riding cool for girls; something which many of my daughters classmates still look down on.

With regards to the pictures of this chick riding around in what she wears, she might get a lot of looks from people but really it doesn't matter how good a rider you think you are, all you need is for a dumb car driver to not indicate and move into your space for an accident to happen.
I nearly had two in one day, and I was riding carefully, but the people around me were distracted. If I had not taken evasive action, I would have been punted off my scoot, and where would tights, heels and a short skirt have helped me....?? She might look 'cool' and 'funky', but I don't respect her choice in riding gear at all. Google "road rash" to get an indication what 'protection' you have from the road when wearing heels and skirts. |

Please just accept that some have a more 'Mediterranean' attitude to riding gear - there is no point in lecturing someone who has made up their own mind, even if it is 'alien' to the culture the lecturer might live in.

Hey I like my safety gear but to each his/her own. Props to the girl for doing it her way. Dig her style. We each get personal choices/freedom.

Well Guys,
After reading through all of these comments, I see her as a positive promoter of urban scooting. It's obvious, she's a bright business person with a sense of "quirky" going on, as well. I say, "You go scooter girl, with nice legs, er ah shoes"! It appears, she's safety conscience, as well. Happy Motoring today! |
