I need a new headlight bulb for my P.

It's a 12v 25w/25w dual filament bulb. What are my chances of finding one at a local auto parts store? I tried one that was open late last night and they had nothing.

Is there a replacement bulb that is more common that would work?

I really don't want to pay shipping from a scooter shop if I don't have to.

Go to a dirtbike store...some place that does ATV's and such.

Mobboss Zach started some thread the other day on the BBS asking about stats on some 35/35w 12v headlight bulb, and apparently they can be had at dirtbike stores... it's some KTM standard bulb.

Its a #1157 bulb. Very common in any auto parts store. I've actually seen one in a gas station before, but that was only once.

That's the tail-light for American market bikes. The headlight is different.

If you are looking for the original sealed beam, you might check a harley shop. I think they came as 30/30w bulbs.

Otherwise, you'll need a 12v 35/35w bulb with a 20mm base. I think they are called BA20's. They're a bit hard to find.
