So this helmet came up on another thread, and I thought it was awesome so I googled it. Web bike world gives it a pretty good review, but I was wondering if anyone here owns one, or has tried one on. Opinions?

It would seem that that thick black border on the visor would really limit your view.

I currently have an X60 and can say that NEXX quality seems to be quite good. I seriously considered this helmet for winter riding. I think its the coolest looking helmet Ive seen but with concerns about fogging problems, exacerbated by the in ability to open the visor without opening the whole face shield, I doubt its usefulness during our soggy Seattle winters Crying or Very sad emoticon

I'm concerned about that as well. We're very humid here, and fogging during cooler months is a problem. When is not cold I always have my face shield cracked for comfort and during cooler months when I'm stopped at a light or whatever I have to crack the it to prevent fogging. I wonder how the air flow is on this one. Thanks for your perspective.

Yep, I loved the look of that helmet, but this portion of the Web Bike review gave me pause:

"The visor fogs up on low-humidity days, regardless of air temperature... it fogs when sheer logic dictates that there's no way it could fog. The chin vent works to prevent fogging - provided a speed of at least 50mph. Below that, and you're stuck with opening the visor, and on a flip-up, that's decidedly non-ideal."

Too bad - perhaps it is something that'll get fixed in future versions. Design wise, I think all of the Nexx helmets are hot!

X30 Plain and Viper models did have some fogging issues and we addressed them immediately. All new X30 helmets come with improved anti-fog visor. New anti-fog visors will be available for sale on our website at www.nexx-usa.com by the end of September.
