Mickey Mouse tail light on 1966 US model only (and Allstates). The tractor sytle was on some later models transitioning to the Rally.

Great looking scoot. I almost did a double take when I saw it because it looks almost exactly like the one I picked up last week. Someone will be happy with that 68' or 66' whatever it is.

Surely a road trip could be managed to get such a beauty. You never know, maybe some of us could take it on legs of the journey. Give it a story.

I'll save you the trip planning - I just sent him the money on it! Now - i have to somehow come up with the patience for the shipping company.

Its a 66 - somewhere along the way it got titled as a 68 - It was probably a deal where the year it first sold was 68 so thats what ended up on the title. however - the numbers come back as a 66.

Thanks for all the comments on the purchase - the best term is definately stoked! I have been on the SS kick lately, was about to bug a friend to sell me hers, but this one is a much better find. Ill post up some pics once it arrives - we are working the shipping details now and hope to have it out this way asap. The seller is really a cool guy and we worked a deal that he will handle the shipping set up on his end - so that helped me out a ton! now comess the waiting game....

I had started on this deal when I saw it post on scoot.net then just happend to run across this thread as well when i was reading some other threads - but i will say thanks anyhow - you have posted up on other bikes as well - so it is good to have someone out there that can centralize some good sales onto one site -

NICE GS! - that will be my next venture - I will definately have this thing out once I get it out here - I will use a good weekend up to go through it and get it running as it should - just a minor tuneup is needed after talking with the guy. We have some rallys coming up so I will either take it to one of them or I will head out to a VCLG sunday ride - which i never ever ever attend.

I am going to try to attend that - my work is holding a bbq that day - (although i trying to figure out why it was chosen for mid october!) if i do go i would really like to take my 02 PX125 - i did it up with the italian corsa seat, grips, mudflap and tire cover - that and its all white so its got a really cool look - in my book at least - maybe ill post another - played with all my toys today thread - like i did last year since i changed (upgraded) a few bikes this year.

You are lucky I have been on vacation the last few days because I would have snatched that one up fast.

When I was given my 74 Rally 200 basket case I never realized how much these scooters go for! I have about a grand and a half into it restoring, and just about everything is new cept the body and forks.
I think Im going to like owning a scooter, if I can convince my 2 harleys to give up some garage space..
