if there is a warranty issue with the scooter not relative to the exhaust then you are good, if there is a warranty exhaust relative to the exhaust then not so good.
ps. prima exhaust systems are very low quality

I posted asking about the Prima exhaust and the few that replyed all said excellent things. They also said it was the best for your buck. I don't mind if the exhaust was unwarrented, but if the whole Scooter would be I would of not be puting it on.

well
I put the Prima on my gt200. The muffler will be under waranty, I asked my local vespa shop and they said as long as it has nothing to do with the exhaust system it will be covered. For example, if something happens to your front fork or brakes, then that would be covered. If you start having fuel problems (you do have to upjet with the new exhaust) then that would not be, becuase someone has messed with the carb. I love my new exhaust, the only bad thing about it I have to say is clearance, and the clamp. The clamp that it comes with is pretty flimsy, get a better one, I still have not been able to get more than about 1/4" of clearance between the head pipe and the swing arm. I hit a large pothole, and snapped it once. They replaced it, but now I have to ride gently, very gently. good luck, I will try to post a pic soon of the additional clamp my mechanic came up with.

What Trox did you use to get your stock exhaust off? I tried a 27 and 30 both to small.

pics of mine
bnot sure what you mean about gettin the old exhaust off. just the bolts on the swing arm and at the exhaust port need to come off. here are some pics of the additional clamp my mechanic rigged up. Its the on towards the front. There is also a pic of the clearance issue I had mentioned. Not sure if the design is a lot different for the 300, but you may have the same problem.

You don't have to take the heat-shield off to take the exhaust off, but supposing you really want to, what is the problem you are encountering in trying to do so?

There is no other way I see possible to take the exhaust off with out taking off the shield. I need a Torx. What type I think it's T-30 or T-40. Maybe I'm wrong and need another T type.

ok the heat shield stays on... the Torx bolts are a T-40 loosen the 3 torx bolts. They are buggers. then loosen the clamp at the pipe junction at the head pipe.
then take off torx and slide off exhaust. then you will have to take the header pipe off. just be careful because the studs are sensetive.
