I was installing a side stand on my '09 GTS and saw these two wires that terminate into a plastic snap fastener. The wires go up into the floor pan of the scoot. It looks to me like I could put a momentary switch on the end of the wires and mount it into the hole where it currently terminates so the side stand will turn off the scooter when it is lowered. Has anyone done this or seen this on the GTS? Attached is a picture of the wire and where it terminates.

Those two wires are definitively the ambient temperature sensor, which gets displayed on your dash cluster.

Interesting. The GTV doesn't have the temp gauge and I didn't notice the wires when I installed my sidestand. Miguel
