Modern Vespa

On Fox and Friends this morning they had two Vespas. For College Colors Day they had on painted up for University of Georgia and one for University of Florida. Here is a link toa video of them riding them after the show.

Are you sure those are Vespas'? What model are they?

I'm no expert, but when I watched the show eating breakfast this morning they said "Vespa". On that segment they had a couple unsteady models riding them but at least they wore helmets. When I looked on line I could only find the after-show segment.

Probably someone on this forum can identify what they really are.

Yeah, the one is definetly a Honda Metropolitan. Neat little scoot. The other one looks like a piece of crap.

I didn't hear the old guy say it was a moped. He said the TV guy on the scooter asked him a question about riding a moped. The old guy said he was a Harley rider and that he thought scooters were fun and a good way to get 80 MPG. I thought that was a pretty good message that wear your kit (gear).

Totally positive and no negative comments about scooters from the Harley guy. The TV people tried to make reference to the tahe fact tht you may not be tough on a scooter though. The old guy didn't pick up on that.

I liked later in the clip where the wife was showing the rider where the horn was and everyone was riding with their feet either up in the air or sliding on the ground.

Why can't TV people try to get some knowledge before getting on TV with scooters?

both chinese knock offs the florida scoot is a honda metro KO by TNG. the georgia scoot is a honda jocker KO by various manufacturers

I was quite impressed that no one fell down or crashed into the wall or the crowd.

And proud of it. Most of mmy Crab Town friends watch it too, but this is a scooter forum and my and your beliefs on other topics don't belong here.

Here in the South A LOT of folks call them Mopeds.... I really don't know why. I work volunteer at my local shop as a "what-ever" tech and hear folks all the time asking to see the mopeds or test ride the mopeds. it is funny.
