I know this is a well known topic.
I have a 50 ET4 and when I turn the key it seems "loose" and nothing happens.
Can someone please give me a PM with instructions on how to open the seat lock?

Tanks

Welcome to MV bjerchtr!

I'm afraid you will not get instructions for this over the internet. Please understand that you are a new member and nobody knows you. We are not saying that you are a thief ... but how better to learn how to break into someone else's Vespa than over the internet? I hope you understand.

The best way to remedy your very frustrating situation is to call your dealer or any Vespa dealer in your area and ask them what to do. Once they have verified that the scooter is indeed yours, they will give you the necessary instructions.

Good luck!

Sorry ... but you wanted to go riding anyway didn't you?

Make sure you come back and share your experiences with the rest of us. There are some other members here who live in Norway as well ... and we love to see pictures of your beautiful part of the world!

I've expereinced that problem several times over the years and it was usually because something got jammed between the seat pan and the scooter when I closed it. I solved it by pushing down on the seat over the latch and activated the seat release. If that doens't make sense, reply so and I'll try to be more explicit. Hope that is helpful.

I believe nothing is stuck under the seat cover. It seems like the lock cylinder is broken or something.

A tiny screw that makes the whole thing work had come loose on ours. You need a warm day so the seat is supple and tiny hands!
