Welcome to MV Lorenzo!
Cool scoot and what a great year 1954 was! Although we all love to look at the oldtimers ... your question would get more knowledgeable responses in the "Not So Modern" forum here: https://modernvespa.com/forum/forum19 Good luck! She could be beautiful once again with some tender loving care. How long have you owned it? |

That's a tough question... I am no expert by any stretch, and some of the members here can give a much more educated opinion than mine, but I'll take a stab.
In the current shape it's not worth a whole lot. I saw one that Rick of Soho Scooters was selling. It was, IIRC a 52 with original paint, non-running, but came with an extra engine. I think he was asking 2500.00. And, it may well have gone unsold at that price. It was cosmetically in much better shape than yours (no offense). Now, one that is fully restored to original specs could be worth much more. It is a handlebar Vespa after all, and certainly has some curb appeal due to the age. Generally speaking: 1. Very difficult to get some of the parts to restore to original 2. The model is slowwwww. 3. Rare due to age/model, but refer back to number 1 4. If you did get it back to original and good running condition it would be a heck of a vintage Vespa. YMMV |

More general info:
http://www.scooterlounge.com/Vespa/Handlebar/Handlebar.shtml I think the prices at the bottom of the page are a little conservative for a "restored to original specs" scoot. |

thanks for all of your responses. luckily i have most of the original pieces. and with a little work it has become a sound driver (FOR A 54).... hopefully in for paint by the holidays.
parts still needed: headlight set switch cover and ever illusive original tail light. |
