Can someone help me. My running lights don't work I took my bike to vespa potamkin they said it wasn't a bulb or a fuse problem. They think it might be electical. Has any one ever had this problem and what else should I look for .Any comments would be appreciated.
Yeah, the only lights that should be on are the main headlight, the little tiny light in the horn cover, and your tail light. The only other lights left are the signals.
The LX/LXV/S Vespas are set up to have their front signals as running lights in the US, but mainly because they have to add the other little "pod" signals under the headset (some stupid DOT regulation about the legshield signals being a fraction of an inch too close together).
I meant my taillight not running lights. Brake light works as do my signals , but taillight is out . I don't think it's a fuse and it's not a bulb. I'm taking it in tues for electrical checkup
Does your instrument cluster backlight work? If not, my money says it's a blown fuse.
The tail light, license plate light, horncast light, small lamp in the headlight reflector, and instrument cluster backlight are all on fuse #10, a 7.5 amp fuse in the glovebox fuse block. Don't just look at it; replace it - they're cheap enough.
