Okay I know I saw someone who had posted a thread for a windscreen install which showed pics of using a hammer to set something into the headset. I have looked under the wiki and could not find a wiki for windscreen install (just the printed translated instructions).
I don't think I hallucinated this thread with pics. I searched under windscreen too.

Please prove me right (or wrong)

Chetwynder had pictures up on this thread that showed a hammer being used :

Flyscreen/bolt removal

I wonder if it's what you remember.

There was also this thread Faco Mid-Size Windscreen... Check which mentions using a hammer, but dosn't actually have a picture.

I am having trouble installing the FACO mid on an '06 GT. Here is what I did. I pushed the pins into the holes. Obviously they didn't go in. So I tapped it with a hammer like the directions stated. Well, they went in but the tabs on the compression piece bent in and it didn't take. So I can pull them right out. How did you all get them in without bending the tabs?

Thanks!
Harvey

I believe you may be right. In that case, is there anyone who posted pics of a windscreen install on a GTS or an LX (which would probably be very similar)?

This post on the thread Harvey posted shows the correct order for installing the Faco hardware - see if it helps.
