I added white, reflective, vinyl stars to my helmet. It's kind like Evil Kneivel but not as patriotic. My brother-in-law has a sign shop and made the stars for me. I have some vinyl stripes for the scoot too, but I have to wait for the paint to cure from my mishap.

Thanks. My brother-in-law has a sign making business. He can pretty much make anything out of vinyl. He made them for me, along with some stripes for the scoot. I will post pics of those, once they are installed.

Your helmet looks great, Sonia. I'm sure the reflective stars will be helpful at night.
I look forward to seeing the pics of the scoot with stripes. You might just be drumming up some business for your brother-in-law here on MV

Reminds me a little of the helmet in Easy Rider. Very cool and you can see it at 32 seconds.

That's what I was going for, but in a modern sense. I love the simplicity of motorcycle designs from the 70s and earlier.

I will talk to him. He's in the Dallas area but can ship pretty much anywhere. If anyone has a particular design in mind, feel free to PM me. I can get you in touch with him.

I like it. Makes the rather dark blue quite visible.

Off on a tangent, because I see you have invested some money in your helmet. In case you park your scooter in public, with helmet on its peg, you may want to consider removing the SHOEI stickers (if they are not painted over). I do that to my Arai helmets so I don't have to worry about some perp stealing them

Thanks for the tip. However, the D rings on my helmet are too close to the helmet to use the helmet pegs under the seat So far I just take it into work with me or into the grocery store. I might have to get a topcase eventually.

If you really mean that emoticon's expression, there is help:

You can get a T-shaped piece of metal, with a hole at the base, to fit into the peg, after you fed it into your D-rings.

Or, you learn how to get it to fit. A FF is usually tight to fit the D-ring onto the peg and you have to hold your helmet in a way so that the D-ring reaches the peg, then sort of rotate the helmet laterally to snug up to the cowl. Once you get that twist, it is easy (and a tight fitting D-ring is a good protection from want-to-cut-it-offers).

Heh!... Forget that white helmet

You need one with reflective stars
and a drop-down visor and ventilation!

OK, OK... I had to add the stars

What 175 said, and you could apply metallic blue stars on yours.

I'm forever glad I chose white for my helmets and wouldn't want it any other way.

Ummmm, guys...
That works great in the desert, particularly the high desert,
but you might want to ask Traffic how well that white helmet has been keeping her cool in the BVI

You can't prove a negative, and TrafficJ will never know how much hotter a dark helmet would have been

.......there is another way....if you cant get the metal thingy on the other post above...... .....get a crome spanner, not to big......and it will go through the , d, ring..and fit onto your seat helmet stub......leaving the wider part of the spanner fitted upto your helmet , d, ring.......ok.......it works ok.......do it all the time.......Or you can get a comination lock with a plastic covered wire , etc.....this would work, and you can fix it to the towing loop, or still thread it through the seat stub..........ok

Interesting... very interesting, really
But I'm not yet hearing how well the new white helmet is working out

In any event,
I'm quite satisfied with the heat-reflecting properties of my light silver one
Razz emoticon
