Okay, time for another poll, but this one has to do with the running of the forum. Here's where you guys get to have your say.

I just noticed, through my own error, that the Rallies & Events section does not require that posters be registered members of the forum. I was about to fix it, and then wondered if maybe I was being too hasty.

What do you guys think? I'm going on the assumption that, if we allowed guest posters, we would simply moderate (which is a nice way to say delete) anything that was posted inappropriately in that forum by miscreants.

Give your rationale if you like.

^^^ What he said.

Unless it gets too unmanageable, then shut it down to non-registered users.

Looks like the trend, with %14 percent of the precincts reporting, is to keep the Rally section open to public posting.

NapaCoach and Smorris are nominated to keep an eye out for spam.

I don't really see the distinction. Anyone can register, so what's gained by making it a requirement?

Based on the fourm so far, I seen no issues with this.
