Hi all,
I purchased a new scooter recently and I believe I filled the glove box too much because it does want to open. I could probably take it into the dealership but I'd like to do it myself. Any suggestions?
Peace,
Steve

Hi
You can drop the inner leg shield out without too much trouble, then release the glove box manually. There are some pics in the first stage of the Wiki for fitting a Stebel Horn. |

Actually on second thoughts I think you need the glove box open to remove a legshield screw so cancel my last
Maybe some gentle leverage in the groove of the glovebox cover up near the lock while you push in the key release. Use a soft plastic item like a bicycle tyre lever or similar??? Also a possibility of going in through the Horncast but that would be like keyhole surgery??? I guessing here. Hopefully someone has another solution for you. |

Try pressing on the area of the glovebox where the lock is while pressing the lock release. Miguel

You may have too much pressure on the spring at either the top or the bottom. Try what Miguel said (making sure you press in on the key) at the same time and if that doesn't work, then try pressing at the bottom of the door and releasing some pressure there. Remember though, if you don't press in on the key, it won't open period!

Thanks!
I experimented with putting pressure on different parts of the glove box while pushing in the key and it popped open after a bit. Thanks for all the help everyone!
