Does anybody know the exact weight of the original variator rollers in the BV500??
Mine is an '06.

I plan to install Dr Pulley sliders during the winter layup like I did with my MP3-400 last winter. I would like to buy them before-hand.

Larry- If no one answers here try over on PiaggioRiders on Yahoo. There are a couple knowledgeable bv500 owners there.
Good luck- Bob

I can't say that this is the definitive answer but here goes:

Number 1, it depends on which variator you have - 6 or 8 roller style.

According to Motorsport Scooters the stock 6 weight rollers are 21.5 grams - I couldn't find any info on the 8 roller unit.

I'll bet a quick email to Matt at Scooter Trap would get you the info you need.

An '06 should have the 8-roller version - they did here - but whether that applies to the US bikes is as always a conundrum.
