When I bought the bike, I asked about the different [coding] keys and was told that some things in the manual are not applicable to my bike. Is that true of this bike or was she blowing smoke?

The 07, 08 and 09 Fly 150's do not have coded keys. The 06 did however in 07 the scoots started production in China, Piaggio dropped the price $500 to be more competitive in the scooter market and the immobilizer was no longer installed.

Great bike by the way.

Best,

+1 - no coded keys on '07 and beyond. My wife's '06 has coded keys, my '08 doesn't.

Nice to know. The dealer acted like I was an alien when I asked the question.
