Sorry my fellow Irishmen, but the license plates are god awful ugly. Why are they so yellow and so big? Talk about eye sore, takes away beauty of scooters.

You were in South Louisiana and you stopped at Starbucks? Shame. Razz emoticon

Try the local stuff... Community Coffee (CC's coffee house) or River Road Coffee (they don't have a coffee shop, but are served all over). Good stuff.
Meg- Here's what we miss:

If you ever make it to the Greek Islands, bring plenty.

Those of you who think Starbucks has bad coffee, which blend are you talking about?

ALL of their blends. The problem is that Starbucks has 'branded' their coffee. While each blend taste a bit different, they also all taste like Starbucks, over-roasted & rather burned tasting. I'll take a risk at a local roaster any day of the week over Starbucks. And don't get me started on the silly-ass names they have for their cup sizes. Is small, medium & large too hard for them or what.

Espresso Vivace has been in Seattle since 1988. The original Roasteria on Broadway and E Denny Way was recently displaced by a new light rail station. Espresso Vivace's owner and founder, David Schomer, was one of the pioneers of the high-quality espresso scene in Seattle, and has provided training to many espresso vendors in Seattle and across the nation.

I have been to Cafe Ladro once, and was very happy with it. If I find a Cafe Vita, I will most certainly stop in for a cup of something.

If you like mochas, don't miss Stumptown. Their "secret blend" of chocolate makes a uniquely superb experience.
